Avila Beach Junior Lifeguard

Program

 

The Avila Beach Junior Lifeguard Program is one of the finest programs for developing young watermen and women on the central coast.  This is one of the very best character building programs available to youth on the Central Coast.


The program has been running for the past 16 years.  Founded by Russell Edwards, the program now hosts 200 junior guards from age 10-17. 


The program focuses on character development and providing a rigorous curriculum including, paddling, running, swimming, outrigger canoe, first aid and CPR, and basic lifeguarding.


The Avila Beach Junior Lifeguard Program is a 501c3 non profit education organization.
